FAST KIDS Sports Training

Grades K-2

FAST KIDS Sports Training is a unique and exciting opportunity for your child to develop their fundamental athletic skills. Fundamental athletic skills provide an essential foundation to enjoy and excel at a range of sports such as:  baseball, soccer, basketball and lacrosse. Kids will learn how to run faster, dodge quicker, jump higher & land safer, kick further, pass with control, throw & catch any ball and much more. Each of these skills are developed through our FUN maximum participation games, where the emphasis is on learning and having a lot of fun! Individual challenges are set within each activity to fit the different ability levels in the class, ensuring every child is encouraged to work to meet their challenge and gets to feel successful when they achieve their goal (great for confidence and self esteem). FAST KIDS also provides your child with the unique opportunity to develop the key FAST Mind skills of focusing on you, working hard, teamwork, not quitting and challenging yourself while learning how to fuel their athletic bodies with healthy nutrition in FAST Fuels. Each weekly session will work on a range of athletic skills and will emphasize one of the FAST Mind skills and FAST Fuels topics. All attendees receive a FAST KIDS T-shirt and FAST KIDS Diary, which supports these topics and provides lots of fun activities to learn more. We hope to see you there!

Storybook Science

Grades K-2

Mythbusters isn’t just for big kids. In this class for students in grades K- 2, we’ll read a different story each week to our kindergarten and first grade scientists and then conduct hands-on science experiments to test the truthfulness or recreate certain elements of each story! When we read Jon Scieszka’s The True Story of The 3 Little Pigs for instance, we’ll test the power of wind versus our own construction techniques - can wind really blow down a house? Other stories will inspire us to build earthworm habitats and make ... SLIME! Areas of exploration include: aerodynamics, biology, physics, geology, archaeology, chemistry...and more!

Fee
:    The tuition for this class is $145 + a $17 supply fee for a total of $162.
