Pilates with Ms. Savitsky

Grades 3-5

Children love to be active, so Pilates exercises for kids will seem like play to them! We will learn the basic Pilates moves with a kid-friendly twist. We will exercise to popular music and incorporate fun props such as the mini-ball. After mastering the basic moves, kids will have the opportunity to teach the class their favorite moves! Some of the benefits of pilates include better concentration, increased flexibility, better posture, increased self-esteem and confidence, reduced stress and strengthening of the core muscles. Pilates is great for kids involved in sports or dance to improve balance and coordination. All students will receive a special thick 1/2 inch pilates mat (5 colors to choose from) and mini-ball for use in class and to keep at the end of the session! Ms. Savitsky is insured, is a certified Mat Instructor through Balanced Body University and has instructed adults for three years. Students should wear comfortable clothing and avoid skirts or jeans for class. A snack and water bottle are recommended.

Fee: Tuition is $125 for new students and includes a mat and ball. The returning student tuition is $100 if no materials are required.
