Fencing I
Grades K-1

Fencing is separated into two age groups.  Fencing I is for grades K-1. Students will be using nerf foam sabers, yet wear the same eqiuipment as older students.  All students will learn the basic stance, lunge, parries, and attacks, as well as the basic concepts of fencing.   Students can build on their experience from prior sessions.  Offered by Have Blade Will Travel Fencing.

Ceramics & Glass
Grades 1-5

In this course, students learn to use balsa foam to develop different printmaking techniques on ceramics while at the same time learning about the properties of clay and various ceramic glazing techniques. This course also teaches slipcasting, a technique used for making ceramic shapes that are difficult to make by hand or on the potter's wheel.  Keeping up with industry trends, students also use glass to decorate a ceramic shape for a "mixed media" project.  For the fused glass project, students learn to combine translucent and opal glass to get different results. Make Them Laugh
Grades 3-5

This acting class is accented with humor! Students will learn the basics of acting in comedies and creating funny characters. Explore different styles of comedic humor, choose funny scripts or stories and create scenes together as you develop the craft of "Making Them Laugh!"

Golf
Grades K-5

The class covers basic golf skills, etiquette, rules, and character traits such as respect, honesty and sportsmanship.  Classes introduce new players to the game and are progressive in nature. Players learn the fundamentals of the game including grip, stance, putting, chipping, pitching, and full swing in simple kid friendly language and hands on activities.  Offered by Eagle Junior Golf.

Advanced Karate
Grades 2-5

This class is designed for 3rd-5th grade students and is open to all belt levels. Students learn the basic levels of martial arts while participating in a fun, exciting atmosphere. Class is tailored to student’s individual needs and helps them grow to their fullest potential possible. Kaizen Karate classes are also about learning valuable lessons related to discipline, motivation and self-control. The main goal is to help everyone progress, continually improve, and enjoy the process.
