Grades: 1-3

This is an academically based Minecraft class so aside from a brief introduction, the class won't just be playing Minecraft, but developing programming and design skills within the context of the game.  Students will learn to install, run, and customize mods in Minecraft. They will design custom graphics, textures, and in-game objects.  The course will begin with an overview of building devices with redstone circuits. Students will then learn to operate various mods, including Tekkit, Buildcraft, and Painterly.  Using Paint.NET, students will design custom textures and character skins.

Fee:  $180
